There are several drying methods employed to dehydrate fruit, both in powder and pieces. We have relationships with several manufacturers, both in Europe and in Asia, which enables us to offer a full range.
Freeze Dried fruit and Vacuum Dried pieces and powders are the top of the range. No carriers are used, and the drying temperature is low, so the flavour of the original fresh raw material is preserved.
At the other end of the scale is drum, or roller dried. This system produces flakes and powders, which usually include a carrier. The main advantage of drum drying is that the heat of the dryer results in very low microbiological values, which is why they are often used in baby foods.
We also have infused fruit. Sugar is often used to preserve the fruit, but fruit juices, such as Apple and Orange are becoming more common. Our range of infused fruit includes most berries. We also have a selection of fruit dried without added sugar.
