Nutural Extracts and Concentrates

Real Aromi specialize in creating natural extracts and concentrates from herbs, spices, and plants. Over the years, the wide range of natural extracts, obtained by both traditional and modern technology, has been enhanced by the addition of natural flavours and aromatic blends to satisfy the requirements of an increasingly demanding food industry.

Real Aromi unites the tradition of the liqueur masters with modern techniques for extracting the aromatic components of herbs, plants, and spices.

Liquid Concentrates

These are produced by infusion, percolation, and distillation of the raw material with a hydroalcoholic solution and subsequent vacuum concentration. Thanks to their fluid nature concentrates are widely used in water-based products that are processed at room temperature.

An ultrasound system is employed to speed up the extraction process, even at low temperatures. This is particularly important when using raw materials that need to be processed quickly in order to maintain the original flavour.

This range was originally aimed at intermediate products for the liqueur industry. Today, production is characterised by a wide range of top-quality natural extracts, produced using automated extraction and purification stages. Laboratory controls guarantee consistency through state-of-the-art analytical systems.

Spray dried ingredients obtained from the concentrates, which can also be encapsulated to give the aromatic ingredients a longer shelf life. The encapsulation material is based on fully water-soluble carbohydrate. Low water activity and the encapsulation material ensure excellent stability over the product’s shelf life.

Oil-based ingredients obtained by extracting and subsequently filtering the aromatic components of oil-soluble raw materials. They are used as a base for the production of flavoured oils and fatty or oil-based products. A proprietary system is used to extract the oily components of aromatic plants using vegetable oils (mainly olive and sunflower) and their subsequent separation using gravity and vacuum filtration.
